​PROGRAM


The program relates to the highest levels of:

  • Research (Musicology) 
  • Teaching practice 
  • Professional Performance 
  • Music industry 
  • Music education programs 
  • Music Therapy / EAT


Each stage requires candidates to present an evidence-based paper and a video presentation of demonstrated practice skills.


Each stage also requires that candidates also present evidence of their contribution from a global perspective.


Assessment is also based upon participation in the GAIN Leadership Program.

Holders of the MCGD are eligible to conduct and assess all CPM and MCD programs.


Only holders of the DSF-MCGD are eligible to conduct and assess MCGD programs.


MCGD 
- First Stage

Masters Chartered

Global Director of Music 

Pre-requisite:

1 year as an FMCD


Requirements: ​​


  • Evidence-based paper plus a video of demonstrated practice skills.
  • Demonstrate contributions made.
  • Assessment is also based upon participation in the GAIN Leadership Program.


FMCGD  - Second Stage

Fellow - Masters Chartered

Global Director of Music 

Pre-requisite:

1 year as an MCGD


Requirements: 


  • Evidence-based paper plus a video of demonstrated practice skills.
  • Demonstrate contributions made.
  • Assessment is also based upon participation in the GAIN Leadership Program.


SF-MCGD  - Third Stage

Senior Fellow - 

Masters Chartered 
Global Director of Music

1 year as an FMCGD

DSF-MCGD ​ - Fourth Stage

Distinguished Senior Fellow -

Masters Chartered Global Director of Music 

Pre-requisite:

1 year as an SF-MCDG


Requirements: 


  • Demonstrate contributions made.
  • Assessment is also based upon participation in the GAIN Leadership Program.


​Notes:


The MCGD replaces the MCD designation; the CPM is retained.


Awards may be granted for exceptional research work or service.


Eminence & Scholarly Awards may also be granted for distinguished service to professionals in their specialist fields of interest.
